Established in 2009 in Portland, Oregon loveTEAK provides sustainable furniture at affordable prices without compromising design and function. We manufacture our own sustainable teak line in Jepara, Indonesia, as well as work in partnership with selected manufacturers that have the necessary machinery and decades of experience in furniture making. Indonesia has one of the highest quality teak wood available in the world and has for centuries been the preferred choice for fine yachts, ship decks as well as superior garden furniture.

To minimize our impact on the environment and help preserve Indonesia’s tropical rain forest, we only select teak wood from ecologically managed plantations, Perum Perhutani, on the island of Java. Perum Perhutani is the principal plantation forestry operation in Indonesia, and is responsible for regulating the number and size of trees which can be felled. These regulations ensure protection of forest vital to our ecosystem.
